JAM is conducted annually to fill seats across various postgraduate programmes. These programmes include MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhDDual Degree programmes. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is the organising institute for this year’s examination.
According to the released schedule, the  IIT JAM 2025 exam will be conducted on 2 February 2025, for seven test papers. The forenoon session will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and will include Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Mathematics (MA). The afternoon session is set for 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, featuring Biotechnology (BT), Economics (EN), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).
The candidates may note that to register for the exam, female candidates and candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 900 for one test paper and Rs 1,250 for two test papers. However, for all other candidates, the fee is Rs 1,800 for one test paper and Rs 2,500 for two test papers.Â
Also, after closing the application window, the application correction window will be opened for the candidates till 18 October 2024. The candidates will be allowed to make changes to their category, gender, test paper, or examination city will need to pay an additional fee of Rs 300. The last date to edit the application form is 18 November 2024.Â
The institute will release the IIT JAM 2025 admit card for the candidates on 6 January 2025. The JAM 2025 result will be released on 19 March 2025.Â
