According to the latest updates, over 1.55 lakh candidates have already registered for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme.
The registration process for PM Internship Scheme started from 12 October 2024 onwards. As the opening of the portal for applicants approaches, the number of opportunities listed on the Prime Minister Internship Scheme portal has reached 90,849 as of 11th October 2024, as reported by a senior official from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
The scheme is being implemented by the corporate affairs ministry on the official portal at, pminternship.mca.gov.in. Candidates belonging to the age group 21-24 years are eligible to apply for this scheme.
The PM Internships is scheduled to commence from 2 December onwards, within which all the appointed interns will get a monthly financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for a period of 12 months and a one-time grant of Rs 6,000.
The official indicated that internship positions have been made available by 193 companies, including prominent private sector firms such as Jubilant Foodworks, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Muthoot Finance, and Reliance Industries, among others.
