Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Over 1,700 private schools in Delhi have released the first list and the waitlist for nursery admissions for the academic session 2025-26. Now, The rush for nursery class admissions in private schools in Delhi has begun again.

Parents of children selected in the first list now have to pay admission fees. However, when the second list is released, the issue of fees will trouble the parents. In fact, schools need to clarify their fee refund policy. Parents claim that they are being told that the fees will not be refunded after they make the payment.

Parents say that some schools claim that the fees will not be refunded, while others state that there is currently no refund policy in place. As soon as the first admission list is announced, the process of fee payments begins, but the fee issue itself is becoming a problem.

Parents are being told that there are no specific guidelines regarding fee refunds. Mr. Sumit Vohra, head of Admission Nursery.com, stated that new fee refund instructions are not issued yearly. Until new instructions are provided, the old ones are considered valid. Parents should be aware that private schools cannot refuse to refund fees if a child is admitted within a month.

According to the fee refund policy, if a parent has paid the fees at one school and later the child is admitted to another school, the previous school must refund a portion of the fees, keeping only the admission fee and one month’s tuition fee.

Schools hesitate to refund fees Parent Swati shared that three years ago, she enrolled her older son in a school. After the second list was released, her son was admitted to another school. The previous school hesitated to refund the fees when she withdrew the admission.

Now, her younger son has been admitted to a school, and she fears that if he gets into a preferred school from the second list, the school might again create trouble in refunding the fees.

What is the Fee refund policy?

If a parent decides to leave a school within one month of admission to enroll the child elsewhere, the school is obligated to refund the remaining fees after deducting the admission fee and one month’s tuition fee. If the parent leaves after one month, the school is not bound to refund any fees.
