The remedial classes for Class 10 and Class 12 students will focus on revising and practicing the pre-board question papers. The subject teachers have also been asked to guide the students on how to attempt the question paper properly. The support material is also to be used optimally.
As per DoE, ”It is essential for the concerned subject teachers to understand thoroughly the difficult topics and the weaknesses of their students so that individual attention may be given to each student and their problems may be solved’.’
According to the official notice, “Students and their parents must be informed about these classes in advance in the morning/evening assembly, through SMC meetings, notes in the student’s diaries and mass SMS facility, etc. HoS must ensure that all the students attend these classes.”
“In case of double shifted schools Remedial Classes will be held in separate wings of the school. However, if there is a space crunch, the HOS of Evening Shift Schools may consult the concerned DDE (District) and opt for Evening Timings accordingly.”
The DoE has asked the school principals to prepare the timetable for the remedial classes before the winter holidays commence and to ensure that the duration of one period is not less than an hour. The copy of the timetable has to be submitted to the concerned DDE (Zone) well in advance, it added.
