RPSC RAS Exam 2024: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducts the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam every year to recruit qualified candidates for various administrative positions. This year, the exam will be held on February 2, 2025.

The candidates who are going to appear for the same must focus on revising the important topics and concepts that they have already studied as much as possible. The stronger your grasp of the concepts, the more your confidence will grow, and the higher your chances of success.

Study about Rajasthan in Depth

General knowledge (GK) and current affairs related to the state are crucial in the exam. Therefore, you should focus on revising these aspects thoroughly.

History and Culture

Go beyond general history and focus on the history, culture, art, literature, and folk traditions of Rajasthan. Revise the works of prominent Rajasthani writers, artists, and rulers. Rajasthan board textbooks can be very helpful for this.

Geography

Understand the unique geographical features, climate, natural resources, and socio-economic conditions of Rajasthan. Use maps to familiarize yourself with districts, rivers, and industrial regions.

Current Affairs

This is the most important section. Focus entirely on current affairs related to Rajasthan. Stay updated on state-specific issues, policies, and schemes by referring to local news and government websites.

Choosing the Right Options

The exam will include multiple-choice questions. In such a case, using the elimination technique effectively can prove to be very beneficial. With this technique, you can easily answer questions with extreme options like “always,” “only,” or “never.”

Memory Tools

Make a small list of keywords to help you remember important information. Use these lists to quickly revise facts during your study sessions. Additionally, create memory tools for Rajasthan-specific data.

For example, to remember districts with major irrigation projects, you can use the mnemonic “JDS-BR” for Jhalawar, Dholpur, Sikar, Barmer, and Rajsamand.

Clarity Over Rote Learning

Instead of just memorizing facts, try to understand the concepts behind them. Link different subjects and topics together. For example, connect historical events to their geographical impact or analyze social issues within the framework of economic development.
