Schools Closed News: While several regions have been experiencing extreme weather conditions over the past few weeks in Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad (adjacent to Delhi) administration has issued a notification mentioning schools will remain closed in the district till January 18, 2025. 

Schools Closed In Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad: Here is what official notification says
“In view of the extreme cold/cold prevailing in the district for the last few days, in compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad, all the schools affiliated to all council, secondary (UP Board), CBSE, ICSE or other boards from class 1 to 8 in Ghaziabad district will remain completely closed for students till 18-01-2025,” read the official notification.

According to the official notification, the District Basic Education Officer has ordered to keep all board-affiliated schools from class one to eighth closed till January 18 due to cold in the district. All schools will have to strictly follow the order. If the order is not followed, the schools will come under the purview of action. Earlier, the District Basic Education Officer had issued orders to keep all schools up to class VIII closed till January 11.

UP Schools Closed (Old Notification): District-Wise Closure Details

Agra and Mathura: According to media reports, schools from classes 1 to 8 remain  closed until January 14.

  

Lucknow: Schools stayed closed until January 11, 2025.  

Ghaziabad: All schools for classes 1 to 8 were shut till January 11, 2025.
