UGC NET 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the updated schedule for the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) postponed for exam dated January 15, 2025 today. According to the revised schedule, the exams will now commence on 21 and 27 January 2025.

As per the updated schedule, exams for the following subjects will be conducted on January 21 in the morning shift (9 am to 12 pm): 

Indian Knowledge System, Malayalam, Urdu, Labour Welfare/ Personal Management/ Industrial Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare/ Human Resource Management, Criminology, Tribal and Regional Language/ Literature, Folk Literature, Konkani, and Environmental Sciences.

The exam for the following subjects will be conducted on January 27 in the evening shift (3 to 6 pm): 

Sanskrit, Mass Communication and Journalism, Japanese, Performing Art – Dance/ Drama/ Theatre, Electronic Science, Women Studies, Law, and Nepali.

The admit card for the same will be released soon on the official website. UGC NET 2024 certificate for Assistant Professor will be valid for a lifetime. However, the UGC NET JRF award letter will be valid for three years starting from the day of the issue of the letter. 

 

The UGC NET 2024 certificate validates that the candidate is qualified to apply for teaching positions in universities and colleges across India. 

For candidates who qualify for JRF, the certificate allows them to pursue research in their chosen field and avail of financial assistance through scholarships or fellowships. The UGC NET June 2024 exam was conducted in OMR-based mode but was canceled due to a paper leak. 

UGC NET 2025: How to download admit card, once released? 

  • Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. ugcnet.nta.ac.in. 
  • Then click on the admit card link available on the home page. 
  • Enter your login credentials and click on submit.
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen of the candidate.
  • After viewing, download the same.
  • The candidates can take a printout for future reference.
